Project description and its objectives

Through our students we target to raise the consciousness of parents and people around them. We formulated the processes of our projects upon the belief that the students from different cultural and economic groups will learn permanently the habits of sustainable and ecological life by working and practising with a close peer cooperation. While determining the objectives of the Project, we put into consideration the needs of our target group. Thus, our objectives and the needs are interrelated each other. The needs of our target group and objectives of the Project are:

1/ Recognition of the importance of nature, environment and earth, recycling and efficient use of energy with the knowledge of dynamics and the recycling system.

2/ Raising consciousness about being a human, living respectfully and peacefully within the world around us.

3/ Self-development to become an active citizen, carrying about the world issues and become sensible to those, who play the important role in bringing solutions.

4/ Supporting the life-long learning process.

5/ To be tolerant, humane, respect social justice especially by having a chance to meet peers from different nations and collaborate with them by doing things and practicing them.

6/ Improving the foreign language and digital skills.

The scope of the project is to contribute to the development of our students about their foreign language and ICT skills, which will guide them to become the European citizen. The initial objective of the project is to raise the students' consciousness about environment, nature, world issues through recycling, which will make them more active individuals in approaching problems surrounding them. This will also support them in the self-development process, by working with their peers, finding innovative, creative ways of recycling in every field of life. They will experience the recognition of the necessity of acceptance, tolerance, harmony and respect towards different cultures, which brings them closer to the idea of just being human beings. While leading our students through the project, the profiles of the teaching profession will be enforced. It's certainly accepted that the duty of a teacher isn't just to convey information to the students. It is to direct the students to learn on their own by searching, thinking critically, experiencing, and also to strengthen the skills and competences of the students in every aspect. Therefore, we believe that non formal, lifelong learning must be the core point of education. Our project will support our teachers to improve their teaching skills and so their leadership.
