Our school is an institution of prestigious education, located in a picturesque mountain area, in a small town, Focsani, in the west of Romania. It includes secondary school students, aged 14 to 19, who study in modern labs, classrooms and sports facilities. There are about 60 teachers and 800 students in our school. The teachers and trainers offer the highest standards of education to children belonging to different social backgrounds. Currently, the number of staff working in the high school is about 90 as follows:60 teachers, 36 of them with didactic grade I, 2 foremen, 1of them with didactic grade I, seven officers, 8 people that provide care and maintenance (auxiliary staff). During 2015- 2016 in our high school a number of over 800 students are attending the classes of our college. Most of our pupils come from town, but also from rural areas.

The teachers and the students of our college are permanently involved in environmental protection and recycling. We decided to join our efforts to create ecosystems and to reduce the problem of food, paper and energy waste in our school through hands-on activities made by students. Mihail Kogalniceanu" Economic College is coordinating several projects which environmental theme like Eco-School, Let`s do it Romania, Ecoschools Green Day, Learning about forest. In addition, students are directly involved in actions recycling, planting trees, cleaning.
